Snowe’s whirlwind tour to promote “Fighting for Common Ground”

Former U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe, whose book “Fighting for Common Ground” dropped Tuesday, has been on a whirlwind media tour promoting her work, including an appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart that aired Wednesday night.

Snowe’s segment with Stewart focused on – what else – the dysfunction of Congress, but also her role in crafting the Accountability Review Board, which creates a means of finding out who is ultimately responsible for attacks on diplomatic outposts. And while Snowe seemed ready to crack some jokes, Stewart kept the content pretty serious.
